Edie Ryba
Experience Level: New to the hobby. My husband surprised me with a Nikon CoolPix bridge camera for my birthday last year. I really enjoyed learning about the camera and using it to photograph birds. I traded up to a full frame mirrorless camera to give me a better opportunity to grow artistically and capture my love of nature and the great outdoors.
Along with taking a lot of pictures, I’ve been learning from online courses. Now I am excited to listen and learn from other SCC members.
Current Equipment: Nikon Z7ii
Post Processing software: Because I am a beginner I am using Nikon’s software called NX studio but I really haven’t spent a lot of time on it.
Photographic interests: Nature, Landscapes, Wildlife, Macro.
Robert Clark
Experience Level: Experienced with film a long time ago, just getting back into it, new to digital.
Current Equipment: Equipment is Cannon DSLR EOS Rebel T7
Post Processing software: No post processing software, looking for suggestions.
Photographic interests: Interests are mostly wildlife and nature.
Jan Olivieri
Experience Level: I have been enjoying photography for more than 20 years when I took a New York Institute of Photography certificate course. I am always looking to learn from other photographers and glad to share what I’ve learned over the years.
Current Equipment: I have a canon DSLR and a new Mirrorless DSLR and lots of lenses, but macro is my favorite type of photography and I love my 100mm Canon macro lens. I also love my iphone for travel photography.
Post Processing software: I really only do minimal postprocessing in Lightroom and Snapseed is great for iphone photos.
Photographic interests: In addition to macro photography, I love landscape, nature, ICM and travel photography.
Tim Abbuhl
Experience Level: At it for a while but looking to improve
Current Equipment: I use Nikon equipment. In my teens and twenties I was introduced to photography using a point and shoot film camera. About 7 years ago I got into photography again using a DSLR, and I have moved over to mirrorless in the last 2 years.
Post Processing Software: Lightroom
Photographic Interests: My interests are primarily wildlife, but also astrophotography, landscapes, and action (motorsports, airplanes, etc.)
Eric Lohse
Experience Level: Veteran photographer – I have been photographing since my teen age years – many decades.
Current Equipment: Olympus Mirrorless
Post Processing software: For post processing, I primarily use Lightroom with some tools in Photoshop or ON 1 Camera Raw.
Photographic interests: Nature, People, Historic sites and Creative.
Scott W. Thibodeau
Experience Level: B/C
Current Equipment: Canon equipment – both DSLR and mirrorless cameras in ASPC and full frame formats. I’ve recently made “the move” to full frame. I also do love to shoot with the iPhone. As they say “the best camera is the one you have with you” and the phone is ALWAYS with me!
Post Processing software: I use primarily Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. I do use Topaz Sharpen AI once in a while. I also do video editing and DaVinci Resolve is the platform I use for that.
Photographic interests: is “everything” a category? LOL for me, I think it’s all about the light more than a particular thing. My interests have changed over time as I think artists go through phases of things that pique their interest and we “go down the rabbit hole” on that particular subject and maybe move onto something else. Nature and landscape have always been favorites of mine. Those are pleasurable pursuits. I shoot professionally as well. My business focuses on the real estate markets so my love of structures and architecture keep me engaged there. So, yeah, I shoot just about anything.
