The purpose of this document is to outline the responsibilities of the Treasurer for the Simsbury Camera Club (SCC).
Responsibilities include:
- Account for all monies of the sec
- Deposits
- Disbursements
- Track monies in the check book and on Quicken
- Monthly reconcile bank statement from Simsbury Bank & Trust
- Prepare monthly P&L statement and membership total for the President and report same at monthly board meeting
- Work with auditor annually to review financial practices and accuracy of documents
- Help develop and & monitor the annual budget
- Track all paid/not-paid members including:
- Name
- Address
- Phone number
- E-Mail address
- Method, date & amount of payment
- Annual banquet participation
- Prepare & file annual Federal tax filing
- Prepare & file annual Secretary of State filing
- Ensure use of tax exempt status for all club purchases
- Keep track of the state tax exempt number and the federal employee identification number
- Comply with any request from the President or sec Board relating to the club’s finances
